As a Latina/x licensed psychologist in the state of Florida, I specialize in eating disorders, chronic health conditions, pain, and trauma. I also have experience working with a range of mental health concerns.

I’m passionate about helping people heal their relationship with food and their bodies. Within this specialty, I’ve seen the impact eating disorders have across diverse backgrounds. This clinical passion is reflected in my research including a recent publication on Latinx women’s relationship with beauty in an international body image research journal.

I earned my master’s degree in Community Counseling from Loyola University Chicago and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from New Mexico State University. I completed my predoctoral internship at The Ohio State University and post-doctoral residency at Florida Atlantic University’s Counseling Centers.

During my extensive clinical training in different geographic regions, I provided individual, group, and relationship counseling in a variety of healthcare settings to diverse individuals across the lifespan. Collaborating on multidisciplinary eating disorder treatment teams and in primary care settings has shown me the importance of treating the mind and body.
